Do I need to purchase my tickets in advance of the tour? Can I pay cash?
All tickets must be purchased in advance of taking the tour. Tours are limited in size and often sell out, so book early to ensure availability. We accept major credit cards and tickets may be purchased by clicking on the orange “Buy Tickets” button above. Cash is not accepted.
Do I need to print my tickets in advance of the tour?
It is not necessary to print your tickets in advance of the tour. When you purchase online or by phone your reservation is added to our guest list. You may be required to show some form of identification when you arrive at the designated meeting spot. Please note that the ticketing confirmation you receive via email when you book your tour does include information as to the exact meeting location and time of your tour. Please review and make note of this information if you choose not to print your tickets.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Please indicate when you reserve your ticket if you have a food allergy or medical dietary restriction. We will do our best to accommodate you if we are made aware well in advance of the tour of your special needs.
How long is the tour and how far do we walk?
Our tours are 2 to 2 ½ hours in length along an approximately 1 mile route. Our pace is leisurely and the terrain is “Lowcountry flat”. We recommend that you wear your favorite walking shoes.
What if it rains?
Our tours take place rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and bring an umbrella if rain is likely. In cases of severe weather, Savor the Lowcountry reserves the right to cancel the tour. In the event of such an occurrence, we will contact you prior to the tour and you will have the choice of rescheduling or receiving a refund for your ticket.
Are children welcome to take the tour?
Everyone is welcome to take our tour, but keep in mind that our tours are 2 to 2 ½ hours long. Some children may lose interest or become tired. As a parent, you know best if your child would enjoy taking our tour. For families with children we recommend our Tuesday afternoon Savor Coligny tour, as this tour visits a candy shop. All participants must purchase a ticket. If you have an infant or toddler who will not be participating, you may bring them along with the understanding that there may not be seating available for them at some locations. Strollers are welcomed.
How much food is served on the tour?
Our tours are designed to provide you with enough food to constitute a meal for most people. You may not need dinner after taking our tour. For our afternoon tours we suggest eating a late breakfast, skipping lunch, and coming ready to enjoy great food.
Are beverages included on the tour?
You will be provided with a bottle of water at the beginning of the tour and there is a wine or craft beer tasting stop along the route. You are also welcome to purchase beverages at many of our tour stops.
Does the tour guide accept gratuities?
Gratuities are never expected but are always appreciated. If you have enjoyed your tour experience and would like to tip your tour guide, please feel free to do so.
Is there a waiting list for sold out tours?
We do not offer a waiting list but do not want anyone to miss out on the fun of taking our tour. If all of your preferred tour dates are full, you are welcome to email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. If you have a large group and provide us with sufficient notice, we will design a private tour just for you.
Can I request a refund after purchasing a ticket if I decide not to attend a tour?
Due to our limited tour size and the fact that your purchase of a ticket reserves your place on our tour, we cannot offer refunds except when we cancel the tour due to severe weather.
